FERTILE GROUND
By Dr. Grant Kruhly, Sensei and Founder of Applied Samurai Wisdom
Hello again, and Happy New Year, its 2012 !!! I want to speak today about the cultivation of your life and mind.
The definition of Fertile is, ‘capable of growing and developing, of initiating and sustaining…’. We generally associate the word fertile with gardens for foods or flowers, but our mind, body, and LIFE are gardens too. Very much so.
In my blog right now are the full 7 key disciplines that make up the components of your daily existence. They are common to all humans everywhere on the earth. I am about to begin presenting trainings for you to help you really evolve, develop, and experience more of your life, and your natural ability to create and attain your desires.
BUT, to taste the meat of these teachings and get the results you want you need a base. That base is the garden of your mind and level of your awareness; the amount of consciousness you are able to maintain each day. That’s why I explain the 7 key disciplines first. That IS your base!
YOUR DAILY GOAL
Take a few minutes each day, read one of the blog post keys, or, listen to the short video, and then try to engage that particular key discipline that day. The next day, do another. There are 7, one for each day week of the week. It will take you 2 -3 minutes to read/review the post/video, and then you have your inner goal for that day. Every single day you do this; you just invested in yourself, and planted the seeds of higher consciousness and self mastery in your mind. Every day you do that, your one step above the stress and pace of crowd.
We all must walk before we run. As a martial artist, I and everyone else begins as a white belt where we prepare a fertile ground of basics and fundamentals that will allow us to become powerful, confident, and reach black belt. Preparing the ground of our body and mind prevents injury, and allows us to SUSTAIN our level. Always remember, in nature, anything that is quick to rise is also quick to fall.
Many of you probably think of the 7 keys as boring. However, every day, you rise, you eat, you walk, talk, and if you thought well, I already ate food, no excitement there, saw Mr. so and so yesterday, nothing new there, what kind of life would you have? Think about this point seriously. You see, life itself is simply various mixtures of the same stuff all the time. But it’s always bran new, every micro second is always new and becoming, only our mind is old, stuck, and stale.
Did you know that the definition of boredom is a lack of attention? What is attention? Consciousness. But if you are driving the car and suddenly you hit the stopped car in front of you, what just happened? Your body is in the driver’s seat, your hands are on the wheel, yet your mind was somewhere in the future or the past, you were missing your life, and now the accident reminds you to wake up. We have all done that or some version of it haven’t we? It will be a rare person who says no.
That is the reason to review over and over and over again the 7 key disciplines. According to the research you need repetition for 90 days to make the neural connections in your brain to hard wire these habits.
But guess what, once you do, you are SOOOO different. And that guarantees your Life is different too, because you and your life are one set. PERIOD.
Do yourself the great favor of engaging one new key each day of the week, then again the next week and so on for the next 90 days. Make your fertile grounded mind and my upcoming trainings will really grow in you. I have made the basics so simple, anyone can do them, and get this; NO ONE ELSE DOES THIS, except monastic specialists. If you’re meditating too, awesome, that will magnify the effect, but awaken within the fabric of life itself. That’s Power.
Be watching for my upcoming trainings and videos, and my first E book. If you like or find my blog and articles interesting, you will love the trainings and the depth I bring to the table.
Remember, there are no ordinary moments!!!
See you soon,
Dr. Grant Kruhly, Sensei & Founder
