Introducing
APPLIED SAMURAI WISDOM
By Doctor Grant Kruhly, Sensei and Founder of Applied Samurai Wisdom
A BLOG of LIFE, PERSONAL MASTERY, and EMPOWERMENT in the NEW MILLINNEUM
Hello and welcome to my new blog to serve and help you find meaning, strength, peace, health, and to feel vital, happy and truly empowered. I look forward to sharing a massive amount of highly relevant information with you, and to read your comments and questions. Although the subject matter of meaning, life, and the enormous stresses affecting us all now, is not unique; my approach is. Drawing on my extensive understanding, and experience from over 38 years of intense training and immersion in Samurai Martial Culture, combined with my second profession as a Wellness Specialist and Chiropractor; I intend to weave an interesting mix of time tested knowledge with scientific understanding. The results will, I believe, be transformative and illuminating for your life in the New Millennium.
A LITTLE INTRO ABOUT MYSELF
This Christmas of 2011 will mark 39 full years of professional Martial Art training in the old classical Japanese crafts of Ju Jitsu and Sword. I trained intensely in Yoshinkai Aikido, as taught by the founder Gozo Shioda, for 21 years. I taught it professionally for 10. In 1998, I became the student of Master Yagyu Koichi, present Headmaster of the Yagyu School of Swordsmanship. I had the enormous honor of receiving instruction from His teacher, the late Yagyu Nobuharu. I do not teach the Shinkage Ryu.
CHIROPRACTIC
At the age of 45, I entered Chiropractic College to become a Doctor. I did so at the urging of several of my friends who knew of my association with many world class Doctors, such as George Goodheart. My martial training had presented me with several challenges, including a broken back at L5, 3 knee operations, a dislocated right shoulder, and cervical disc damage. Chiropractic and mediation healed my back, shoulder, and neck. My knees had to be operated on because the cartilage tore in half and the knees locked. Thus, Chiropractic seemed a logical and congruent choice with being a life coach and Sensei. I graduated in 2006, but found that teaching is my real vocation and passion, and thus I have created this blog. I closed my office in 2009 and presently I am developing a comprehensive personal development business.
MISSION STATEMENT
I have created Applied Samurai Wisdom as a vehicle to help lift people up above the techno matrix system of the New Millennium, so that they live a vibrant meaningful life, not a stressed out ordeal to the grave. No one should live like that, that is not what life is for. We are all here for a purpose, not to simply rush, rush, rush, till we are old, with our only contribution going to fuel government agencies and taxes.
JOIN ME IN DISCOVERY
I hope you will join me and by all means write me your thoughts and questions. I love to help, that’s MY purpose.
Sincerely,
You have been very helpful thus far, I look forward to more wonderful information.
