Products of the Process

THE PROCESS
FOOD FOR THOUGHT

By Dr. Grant Kruhly, Sensei and Founder of Applied Samurai Wisdom

As a Sensei and Professional Life Coach I am often asked how to deal with stress and change, how to be happy, and how to grow as a person. The answer is both simple yet profound at the same time.
Since your life is a non linear process, you need a process methodology that will advance you in it.
Let us use analogy to paint a picture.  Think of yourself at the edge of a beautiful large pond. Make it a beautiful day, no wind at all, and the pond’s surface is absolutely still like a mirror.  That surface is your life and world.  Now, very slowly and carefully, reach down and stick your finger into the water.  Be very careful to make no ripples at all and just hold it there.  Let that represent a point in time and space, like for instance, an hour of yoga, or 10 minutes of meditation.  Now, very very slowly, remove it being careful not to disturb the surface at all.  Notice that once removed, the water closes the gap and no trace remains, as though your finger was never there at all.

Now, let’s repeat the process, but this time I want you to consider that point as the NOW, the present moment.  From that point, slowly, or if you wish, quickly, begin to move your finger through the water along the surface.  Notice what is happening now! A slip stream is fanning out behind your finger like a speed boat on a lake.  Now remove your finger and notice that the waves and ripples continue affecting and changing the surface of the pond.

That is exactly how a process training method differs from an hour here or there, or a couple of classes per week in the non linear world of your life.

Through Applied Samurai Wisdom I share with you a simple yet powerful and time tested process approach to self empowerment and mastery using your daily life as the vehicle and arena.  That way, you’re always dialed in anytime you choose to focus your attention.  The ripple effect in your life will be mirrored by your relationships, success, happiness, and health.

To brush up on the basics, go to my blog and watch the brief videos or read any of the articles.  Choose them at random.  Also, take advantage of the guest videos I feature there, I select them for you with great care.
Sincerely,
